Teaching with Empathy

Science is a process through which we engage with and participate in the world. It involves a conversation where we can ask the world questions and explore its mysteries. I believe that with empathy and patience any student can learn to participate in this conversation, and as a teacher that is my goal. By opening many avenues for students to engage with scientific content, they can begin to apply it in their lives and community. Molecular Plan

Receive 4 lessons at a reduced rate. With this plan you recieve:

4 sessions of 1 hour individualized instruction

Compound Plan

My Teaching Philosophy

There are numerous models of teaching and learning. Although some of these models are quite ancient and simple, the past century has seen the development of sophisticated models that draw from psychology, biology and cognitive science. Much thought has also been given to the interaction of teaching and learning. This interaction is what Wink (2011, p. 12) calls pedagogy. The ways teachers can apply learning models and utilize pedagogies is quite varied, as are the results.
